What LitigationScope is

LitigationScope is a free, independent index of U.S. immigration public records — ICE detention facilities, EOIR immigration courts and judges, county-level case aggregates, and federal civil court filings — compiled from the public sources described at Data & Methodology. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Informational use only — not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LitigationScope or anyone associated with it. LitigationScope is not a law firm, does not represent clients, and does not provide legal representation, strategy, or case evaluation. If you need legal advice about an immigration matter, consult a licensed attorney.

No government affiliation

LitigationScope is an independent, privately operated website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, any federal court, CourtListener/Free Law Project, or any other government agency or court system referenced in our data.

Accuracy, delays, and your duty to verify

We compile this site's data from public bulk-data sources on a periodic basis (see Data & Methodology for refresh cadence and last-updated dates per dataset). Public records can change, be corrected, be sealed, or be updated by the originating agency or court faster than our data refreshes. We make no warranty, express or implied, that any information on this site is current, complete, or error-free. Do not rely on this site as the sole source for any legal, immigration-status, or case-status decision — always verify against the primary source: the relevant EOIR court, ICE field office, or federal court's own records (including via CourtListener or PACER for federal filings).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use this site to harass, stalk, dox, or take adverse action against any individual named in a public record;
• Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, security measures, or access controls;
• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract site content at a volume or frequency that degrades the service for other users;
• Misrepresent LitigationScope data as an official government or court record, or alter and redistribute it as such;
• Use the site in any way that violates applicable law.

Reasonable, low-volume automated access (e.g., a search engine crawler, or a script fetching a handful of individual pages) is fine and is what the site's robots.txt and sitemap are for. Bulk or programmatic access to the full dataset should go through proper data-licensing channels rather than scraping — seeContact to ask about data access.

Intellectual property

The underlying public records indexed here belong to the public domain or are otherwise freely available from their originating government and court sources — we don't claim ownership of the raw facts they contain. LitigationScope's own compilation, normalization, aggregation logic, page design, and original text (such as this policy and our methodology pages) are not to be copied or republished as your own without attribution.

Third-party links

This site links to third-party sources, including CourtListener/RECAP, government agency pages, and court websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
